hero of the week
The two guys who did the Aqua Teen Hunger Force publicity stunt are now my two favorite people of the week.
The whole thing has been discussed to death, so I won't bore you with yet another rant about how insanely stupid Boston is being treating this like a crime, and I will move directly to this:
"At a news conference after the hearing, Stevens and Berdovsky stepped to the microphones and said they were taking questions only about 1970s hairstyles.
When a reporter accused them of not taking the situation seriously, Stevens responded, "We're taking it very seriously." Asked another question about the case, Stevens reiterated they were answering questions only about hair and accused the reporter of not taking him and Berdovsky seriously.
Reporters did not relent and as they continued, Berdovsky disregarded their queries, saying, "That's not a hair question. I'm sorry.""
Oh my fucking god, that's GENIUS. That's exactly how you should respond to reporters in a case like this. The charges are stupid, the police and Mayor are being stupid, this whole situation is ludicrous and these guys went out and treated the press with exactly as much respect and gravity as they deserved.
Thanks, guys. That made my day.EDIT: Here's a video of them giving the reporters the business, it's even better than I dreamed:

I love how the reporters are so indignant and angry that they won't take them seriously.
