Well I'll be god damned.

I was poking through some shit about old skool hacking, and I found a list of "every BBS that ever was".

Dubious, I went to my old stomping grounds, the 619 area code, and searched for my old phone number.

And holy shit, there it was. Madrox BBS, 619-789-9941.

I swear to god, I got tears in my eyes, because it was so nostalgic. Those were some really incredible times in my life, and some of my fondest. I was truly, insanely happy back then, meeting all these hackers, doing illegal shit, and my head was exploding from the power of computers.

I've looked around in the past to try to find some of the stuff I wrote back then, but a lot of it is fuzzy. I know I wrote a hacker magazine called "LaMeR" for a while, and I worked on some other stuff, but for the life of me I can't remember. I went by Havok, and my good buddy was The Mentor, and we freakin owned 619 for a while. Or that's how it seemed when I was 14.

Here's the list, for the curious: http://bbslist.textfiles.com/619/
