TRACHTENBURG FAMILY SLIDESHOW PLAYERS
Wow. I really want to see these guys live, dammit.
But they're not playing anywhere near me anytime soon, except ONCE, where they're opening for Guster, which is some MTV one hit wonder, and I'm sure it will be totally jam packed. Shit.
"The Trachenburg Family Slideshow Players are an indie-vaudeville conceptual art-rock pop band. We take vintage slide collections that have been found at estate sles, garage sales, thrift stores, etc, and turn the lives of anonymous strangers into pop-rock musical exposes based on the contents of these slide collections."
It's an actual FAMILY of people, the Dad plays piano and guitar, and the 8-year old girl plays drums and sings. Damn, I wish I could see them.
