Arizona burning

Well, this is nice. My mom is off visiting family in Illinois, and I wake up this morning and check CNN and see this:

Apparently a huge wildfire is blowing directly at her house, which is right outside Oracle. What's especially nice is that it's going to take "at least two weeks" to contain, and I'm going there to visit her in a week. Hopefully there will still be a house there when I arrive. I might get to spend my vacation being a volunteer firefighter, trying to defend my mom's house against a raging wildfire. Fun!
