Here's a slightly pompous but entertaining philosophical wank about the ideas embedded in the Matrix.

Some of his ideas are overthought garbage, but a lot of it ties into the redeeming features of the Matrix, the fact that there appears to be a pretty well thought out philosophical premise behind much of it.
