I think it's funny when people are up in arms about freedom of speech issues, but they only think it applies to their own opinions.

For example, the anti-war crowd is up in arms about this reporter being fired for going on Iraqi TV and saying that he didn't think the war was going well. They're screaming that he "has a right to his opinion". Well, yes, that's true. NBC also has the right to fire his ass for whatever reason they want.

It's just like when people will get mad at me for calling someone an idiot because I think their views or opinions are foolish. They'll say something about how everything is subjective, and X person has a right to their opinion. Yes, this is true. I also have a right to my opinion that they're an idiot. It works both ways, not just for the person you're defending.
